Doug: I guess part of what I&#039;m arguing is that the egalitarian system of the earlies believers, as taught by Paul, is not something we should every have moved away from.</description>

		<description>The problem with getting something that works is then moving away from it when it has served its course.  This problem manifests itself in all Larger organisations especially have difficulty with moving on from and / or reinventing or returning to practices that work.

I the case of Christianity it is defining what makes something an essential aspect of the faith and what is current practice to &#039;accomplish&#039;, instill&#039; , &#039;re-invent&#039;,  &#039;return to&#039;, the essentials.</description>

		<description>The best explanation I&#039;ve ever heard of Pauline ecclesiology was encapsulated in the term &#039;mutual subordination&#039;.  All members of the church submitted to each other.  This is most clearly demonstrated in the issues surrounding the eating of meat in Corinth.  Interesting blog, Robert.  I came across it by accident while looking up info on churches in Cork,
