I think you're right, our understanding of the gospel affects how we share it. Also, the understanding of the gospel a new convert receives has an effect on the life they lead in the gospel (until their knowledge improves, of course). Really useful to tease out these foundational assumptions of the gospel as they colour so much of our communication of the good news - are we communicating just with words, or is it a lifestyle of love springing from the good news that spreds the kingdom?
