"Feelings" are, in my opinion, unconsciously developed opinions about certain environmental factors. In the question of whether a "feeling" of good or evil is logical, that description explains that even though you may not understand why you came to have the feeling that something is "right" or "wrong", it generally has some underlying logical reasoning.

As for your thought-experiment of eliminating a country for the sake of all others, I would not touch that one even if I was the proprietor of a three-metre dowelling company. I'm past those little flame-starters, I hope!

On the "I'm right, you're wrong" ethics game, I am of the opinion that a truly philosophical person would be on the fence, or even standing on both sides at the same time. At some times, some people may be "right", and at others, the same ethical stance may be inappropriate. Not that I agree with George Bush's war in any shape or form - I am beginning to detest the person.
