@Paul: Yes they did – but we found it (or at the very least the version we read) to be only half translated to English; we naturally wanted to provide a more complete translation however.

This is a great resource.

I noted the section on Oracle said “will include”, which long ago became a “has included”. This section could also note our contributions to PHP in particular for the OCI8 extension. (And it could reference the free book we have: http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/php/pdf/underground-php-oracle-manual.pdf)

The paper’s impact will be improved if more recent stats are available.

Yes, I also think emphpower would be a good way to follow through with spreading the White Paper (whatever language it’s distributed in )

We did find an earlier English translation of the Livre Blanc that had been written by some members of the PHP Quebec Group but it was only half translated and it made more sense, and less work, to fully translate the Livre Blanc than to finish the Quebec translation and then update it.
