Google Talk

The Google talk last night was definately interesting. Urs Hoelzle is a very interesting guy, who had (for once) stuff to share about how google does its thing.

To many what would seem like rocket-science was described as “Embarrassingly Simple”. That said, the overview of what they do, the magic behind the very simple fascade that is a href=”http://www.google.ie/”>Google and the people present made it a very interesting evening.

As was pointed out to me though – no-one asked the question “How many machines do Google have ?”

The only answer I’ve ever seen given to that is “Enough !”

If you’re interested in working for Google, you should really check out that link. Some really great jobs, but their interview process is rumoured to be <ahem> comprehensive !
