Happy New Year

No, I’m not bonkers !
Samhain (today – Nov 1st), is the start of the Celtic new year. The eve of the new year – what we now call Halloween – was possibly the most frightening time of year for the Celts. They believed that it was the time when the border between the spirit world and the real world was blurred.
The bonfires lit on that night would provide the embers for each household to start the new years’ fires, the fires that would keep them warm, and fed for the rest of the year.

Nowadays it’s push a button, twiddle a knob !

Happy new year !
