I have to say first, that I hope this was a joke. I actually watched the 90 minute debate and I will be willing to discuss it with ANYONE who can say the same. The fact that someone pieced that together as it was, is not only irresponsible, but downright criminal due to the fact that 80 % of the people that will see it won't realize, that all of what he said in that clip was completely pieced together and restructured for someone's entertainment. I am the first to have a great sense of humor, make video, flash, spoofs...but this was just stupid. Bush was nothing but blunt in his debate. He was quick to answer and did not embellish. I want to know just when doubletalk became acceptable. It seems bush is always condemmned for speaking his mind, and trying to get to the point. Made fun of for smirking, which I am amazed was ALL he did while listening to Kerry talk complete CRAP. Frankly what wasn't clipped together was that Kerry failed to have a direct answer for anything. The man never speaks in anything but soundbytes. He has been on ALL sides of ALL issues dependent upon what serves him politically at the moment. HIs standing there saying he would not have sent the troops in w/o the right protection was DISGUSTING since HE was the one as a U.S. senator that voted against the 87 Billion supplemental money meant for the troops and reconstruction! Bringing back to mind his BRILLIANT quote "I actually voted FOR the 87 Billion before voting against it." So in the debate how does he get out of answering the question about it?? He says this . ."I may have TALKED wrong about the war...but President Bush was WRONG when he invaded IRAQ!" WHAT THE (&%# DOES THAT MEAN OR HAVE TO DO WITH IT?? He did not TALK wrong about it... HE VOTED AGAINST THE MONEY FOR THE WAR AND OUR TROOPS THEN STOOD THERE AND SAID HE WOULD HAVE MADE SURE THE TROOPS WERE BETTER PREPARED! This is a little off point, but worth thinking about... everyone thinks that the U.S and George Bush is so horrible for forcing a change Iraq, something that by the way many Iraqi citizens who have been living in the U.S because they were forced to leave Iraq, yet still had families living there, have been begging our government to do for 10 years; why is it that no one complained when the U.S armed, europe and Russia during WWII. Why is it that an entire group of people (Kurds) can be gassed, yet George Bush is the monster because he forced Saddam into hiding. Why is it that Bush is a criminal because he killed Saddam's son's who used to beat or punish by death and dimemberment, athletes who failed to perform. Tell me why, that is everything in Iraq is worse now than it was before we invaded, that Iraqi citizens, living across the globe because they were made to leave Iraq due to their political beliefs, education and/or religeon; are now in the process or have already moved BACK to Iraq. Hospitals that were left unstaffed, now treat people and actually have the supplies to do so. Iraq is selling oil for their own wealth (no, not to the U.S) again because they have access to their own refineries which were controlled by saddam hussein. The refineries are now guarded by trained Iraqis, and aren't being blown up and set fire by former Iraqi regime members in hiding. Small businesses are starting back up. Women are back working, and girls are allowed in school again. Sewage treatment centers have been built, and buildings are being rebuilt, with the appropriate living conditions such as running water. The U.S has no interest in Iraq except for future alliance, and control over terrorist regimes in the area, and the surrounding areas over time. The U.S has NEVER colonized a country. We have never demanded anything from those we have helped. We haven't even collected on war debts owed to us from countries such as France for war time relief. I say this, pick on Bush, sit back and be an arm chair politician, or General for that matter, but sit comfortably because you are pretty confident that someone won't walk in, rip you out of your seat and cut your hands off because you didn't agree with Tony Blair, just as no one has hunted you down and killed you because you hate George Bush. Thats the difference between where you live, and other parts of the world. I am so sick of people just enjoying all their own freedom without ONCE respecting people who helped us achieve it. The Iraqi Prime Minister said thank you and God bless all those that are helping to "save" Iraq from Saddam's tyranny, and John Kerry mocked him saying he was a puppet. How embarrassing to disrespect a man who risks his life everyday by just being the interim Prime Minister (chosen by the Iraqi people mind you not the U.S.). You all sit back and believe what you see on T.V. I know some Iraqi families. Do you?! By the way. . .the big kid always got picked on at school, but when there was a fight he was the first person they stood behind. Whoever made that video sucks.
