Required Reading

GROKLAW is becoming required reading every day for anyone interested in the SCO case.

There’s only one thing more annoying than people on boards complaining constantly that they’re not getting 100mbit DSL with no contention and < 10ms pingtimes for €30/month ... and that's Darl McBride going on, and on, and on about Linux "infringing" on SCO's IP ... without a single shred of evidence.

— UPDATE —
We’ve found the infringing lines in Linux … and it doesn’t look good:

  • SCO’s UNIX source has blank lines – thousands of them, and it seems that Linux also has thousands of blank lines that are identical to the blank lines in the SCO codebase.
  • It also seems that almost all non-blank lines in SCO’s Unix Source end with a semi-colon – you know “;” and – wait for it … nearly all the lines in the Linux Kernel Sources end in “;” as well !
