Wibble got the nod that the apartment was ready for final-inspection last night. So we both headed out to check that all the items his surveyor had noted on the snag-list had been completed !
Needless to say, despite the fact that most of the snags had been covered, there were one or two new ones. In the main they’re just a lick of paint here or clean the paint/plaster off there. There was however one point that hadn’t been on the snag-list that probably should have been – exposed insulation fabric on the balcony … which could have a rather nasty effect on the entire building.
Satisfied that the snags were only minor, we proceeded to Power City (ninety-nine, ninety-nine, ninety-nine). To spend almost €2000 on bits for the kitchen (oven / hob / fridge / washing machine) which are due for delivery on Saturday (probably during Wibble’s talk at the AGM knowing our luck)

Well, we survived the wedding and honeymoon, and I’m now a married man !

Got back a couple of days ago, but I don’t really have much access to bandwitdh … staying with the in-laws this week, and hopefully wibble’s flat will be ready for some semblance of a move the week after … which leaves us waiting until July or so until our own house is completed …

Got to proof-read and print up the mass booklets today. And then meet the brother from the Airport …

Was out last night with the work crowd for a few beers, and I’m knackered … but it was worth it … the other project is nearly completely finished now, and we’re getting the cheques tomorrow … which should cover our spending cash for the honeymoon !

Stress levels are rising a little, Sinéad’s back in school today after an extended bank-holiday weekend. Stress is getting to me, but not the wedding stuff, that’s ticking over nicely …

Got to get the mass leaflets printed though, that ought to be fun, the guys from work intend bringing me out for a few pints tonight, so I’m not entirely sure when I’ll get them printed … but hey …

Funny, the nerves aren’t really getting to me, sure I’m nervous, who wouldn’t be … but at the same time it’s the hassle of actually organising the ceremony which is more nerve-wrecking than anything else !
