It’s all fun and games until someone realises that there’s money involved !
The ILUG have been donated a stand at the annual ICT-eXpo / LinuxWorld conference on April 1/2/3 next … but organising sponsorship for us and stuff to give away without treading on people’s toes is proving fun to say the least !
RedHat understandably don’t want to step on Scope’s (the event sponsor) toes, Scope in turn want anyone who donates stuff to the ILUG to become an event sponsor (Silver sponsorship is about €1500)
It’s starting to look as if the event is very much under funded … ILUG have the largest stand we’ve ever had, 6m * 6m, they cost about 11000 Euro for the three day show …
