To Be Frank …

Looks like I’m in the 32% of mail An Post can’t deliver within one working day … I’ve been waiting two weeks for my insurance disc to arrive. Instead I had to take time off work to collect a re-issued one from the insurance company instead.
An Post (the post office here) claim they deliver upwards of 68% of mail by the next working day … God be with the days there were two deliveries in any day, and a postcard could be sent from Dublin City Centre at 11AM and arrive in Howth in time to decide who to include in the evening meal. You’d think in this day and age it’d be more efficient, not less !
Nowadays post is collected a few times a day, then it’s all brought to the National Sorting Centre, sorted, and redistributed. This means that a postcard sent from Blarney, and going to Cork City has to travel to Dublin, and back … Let’s do the maths people !!

CNN are reporting that teachers in the US are being told not to disparage the war in the classrooms as it’s “Un-American” and upsetting children whose families are being sent to the middle-east to possibly fight in it.

Madness …
Anyone with a hint of reason should visit Michael Moore’s site, he’s the guy who wrote “Stupid White Men” and “Bowling For Columbine”.
