How to recognise a loser
Friday, September 30th, 2005Credit Card Fraud
Thursday, September 29th, 2005I had a call from Bank of Ireland Credit Card Services today, stating that my Credit Card had been put on “security hold” as there had been a large amount of transactions around the world on it over the past few days. Yes, this is true, I’ve been doing a little spending, between flights, hotels, cd’s, books, paying my motor tax and a few other bits and pieces! Good to know that this is being flagged however, and that the banks are taking measures to ensure cards are not being abused. I’m slightly miffed that it took them 24 hours to contact me after blocking the card however, that could have caused a few problems if I needed to use the card in a hurry and wasn’t aware what was going on!!

History is upon us
Sunday, September 25th, 2005Tomorrow should be a very, very important day in the history of this island.
So long Oisin
Saturday, September 24th, 2005Well, after 9 days of battling long and hard, on both his behalf and all our behalf, little Oisin finally just wasn’t able to battle any more and unfortunately died this afternoon. It was almost inevitable despite all the work, he just wasn’t suckling, and was not putting on any weight or growing at all (he was more than half the size of his two sisters 9 days later).

New Toy Rocks
Thursday, September 22nd, 2005I received delivery of my newest toy today. It’s a USB phone that integrates with Skype and acts just like a real phone, ie. you can pick it up and ring either your Skype contacts, or, any regular land line or mobile (assuming you have a Skype Out account set up). It also rings like a proper phone when someone is calling into you…very, very neat!
Another biggie
Wednesday, September 21st, 2005So, I recently predicted that Katrina was going to be a lot bigger than people were predicting pre-landfall in Louisanna, and yet here we are with another Cat 5 hurricane making its way toward the US coastline. This time its headed toward Texas (I’m quietly hoping it wipes out a certain ranch in Crawford!), with the Mayor of Houston ordering it’s citizens to evacuate before the storm makes its predicted landfall on Saturday. I don’t know how big it’s going to be yet, we’ll have to just sit it out now and see what happens over the next few days….
Judgment Day
Tuesday, September 20th, 2005Can I just say how cool is Ms Dynamite’s new song, Judgement Day, and the video just rocks too! Can’t wait to get my hands on her new album!
The two girlies
Sunday, September 18th, 2005We’ve had to take the two girls away from Nora and three in order to try and get him to suckle and get stronger. So, what better to do than to take a few photo’s of them, here’s just one of them that I like…

So far, so good
Sunday, September 18th, 2005With lots of hard work and little sleep for all concerned, three is so far doing alright. He’s still *very* weak, and needs to be hand fed as he’s not suckling, but, he appears to be getting slightly stronger, and, at 2am on a return from the pub for a feeding session, I hope that he is! Fingers crossed he makes it through the night….would be nice if he would start feeding himself though….
