Amazingly, the rumour is true, I had to strip back a chunk of plastic from a eSata cable to get it to sit correctly into the connector of my Seagate Free Agent Pro, truly bizarre.

Adding this eabi patch to the oabi patch gives this set of functional vanilla rpms for arm eabi which work-for-me when installed under fedora-arm. Though built –without-java for the moment (This patch fixes the long-running –without-java and incomplete filter config problem)

Functional arm oabi .deb install set shows that the arm oabi bridge is successfully ported to the SRC680_m236 series from the original 1.1.X version when it was last seen in action. Though this patch against icu is needed in addition to the OOo patch at issue 83413
