I am a Fedora user (F10, OO v3.0.1) and was trying to help a Windows (XP, OO v3.0.1) using friend with title page numbering issues. Imagine my surprise when I asked her to go to "Format -> Title Page .." only to be told that there is no such thing! It was then that I realised that this patch only exists in Fedora :) In short, you are absolutely correct in assuming that it would be a great help!
