You reckon message labs is good. They are old hat. I know of two companies that claim to do far better than them on SPAM filtering. One of them is , Which offers the best SPAM protection I have ever seen advertised. 98% with very low false positives. Another is from an IT company in London, OmniQuad. Message Labs are too expensive for what you get. Simple economics wins out. When you balance Open source + expert hardening and maintenance Against message labs. Open source wins out. Katharion is the choice for those who want spend a sensible amount of money on AV/Spam filtering. The original Katharion was based around Qmail but was developed further with added AI and other proprietary systems.
